The new generation of data loggers

EVO6 and EVO6L, now at the sixth generation, represent the evolution of the AiM renowned data loggers that, all over the years, have become a standard de facto acquisition system in several championships.

EVO6 uses a new processor that guarantees even better performance than previous models and is more geared towards professional drivers, who can independently wire their vehicle with Autosport connectors. Applications include motorcycles, Formula cars, prototypes and vehicles with limited space.

EVO6L can be considered a "light" version of its bigger brother, while still maintaining high-level performance in all applications.

With their compact aluminum body, EVO6 and EVO6L can be easily placed in any vehicle and their configuration with the RaceStudio 3 software is simple and immediate.

 

A WIDE RANGE OF SOURCE FOR YOUR DATA

EVO6 and EVO6L sample all the information you need: data coming from your vehicle ECU via CAN, RS232 or K-line, from the internal accelerometers and gyro, from the GPS09c included in all the available kits. And from analog/digital inputs, external expansions as well as predefined math channels. Sensors can be connected to 8 configurable analog channels for EVO6 and 5 configurable analog channels for EVO6L, to the RPM input and to 4 wheel speed inputs for EVO6 and 2 wheel speed inputs for EVO6L.

One or two digital inputs

EVO6 has two digital outputs while EVO6L has only one. The digital outputs (Dout) are LOW SIDE type (switch to ground): they can be configured in order to be turned on/off depending on the value of the analog or digital inputs. They permit to automatically run external systems, i.e. to switch on/off additional lights, to activate/ de-activate a cooling fan or circulation pumps, etc. when a certain event happens.

CAN Output

With the CAN Output you can send messages directly to an existing CAN network in order to improve the range of vehicle control possibilities.

Need more storage?

EVO6 allows to record all possible data you may ever need, thanks to an SD card (not included).
The card is protected by a waterproof door equipped with a sensor closing all files when you open it, to prevent any data loss possibility. No way to have a faster data downloading: you remove the SD and... it's done!

Multiple connections

EVO6 can be easily connected to your device in three different ways:

  • Wi-Fi (802.11 connection)
  • USB cable
  • BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy)*

* Connectable only to a compatible heart rate monitor and other sensors available on the market.

Two multi-channel Motorsport connectors for EVO6

EVO6 features two multi-channel Motorsport connectors: simple and straightforward, one top quality harness for all your connections.

A 37 pins connector for main applications (power, CAN, AiM CAN network, etc.) and a 22 pins connector for additional functions like CAN2, digital outputs and so on.

Wide band Lambda controllers with Bosch LSU 4.9 probe, providing all Air/Fuel data and lambda value, allows to perfectly tune the carburetion.

The on-board cameras that overlays on videos the data sampled by your logger.

Memory Module

The Memory Module is a small SD Card holder that can be connected via CAN bus to your AiM logger in order to record the data during your tests.

Data recorded by EVO6 and EVO6L can be downloaded to PC and analyzed with the free professional Race Studio Analysis software: graphs, histograms and tables will help you evaluate your performance, providing an objective support to avoid mistakes and improve your driving technique.
